Historic Prescott in central Arizona was once home to both Virgil Earp and Doc Holliday. Today, it's home to thick pine forests, high desert, beautiful hikes and stellar RV camping. While boondocking in the Bradshaw Mountains of Prescott National Forest south of town along the South Senator Highway, we explore Prescott, and hike to both the top of Mount Union and the Giant Alligator Juniper Tree, an informal memorial to the 19 men of the Granite Mountain Hotshots who died fighting the Yarnell Hill Fire near here in 2013.
